Porcelain Veneers

Over the years your smile can take quite a beating with your teeth developing a multitude of problems such as stains, chips, or cracks. Fortunately, we have a variety of methods available to make up for years of abuse, and restore your elegant smile. One such technique is the use of porcelain veneers.

Porcelain veneers are also known as porcelain laminates, and can be used to correct a variety of dental problems. Often, Dr. Fine can use veneers to close spaces in teeth that traditionally required more extensive orthodontic procedures, such as braces. Porcelain veneers are made from ultra-thin, completely non-metal materials. They are actually translucent, which means they let light pass through them in much the same way as the surface enamel of your real teeth. Veneers, therefore, give a restored tooth a very real and natural luster. Veneers will not stain or discolor like natural teeth can. Veneers are very strong, yet they are flexible and will expand and contract with the tooth they are bonded to, preventing cracks and tooth loss.

Dr. Fine and his team are excited to be able to offer you a particular type of porcelain veneer you may have heard of called Lumineers. Lumineers are ultra-thin and ultra translucent making them as thin as contact lenses, giving you a beautiful smile!
